So basically you don't like the "url - comment" format of the ping this output? I would prefer to adjust the current ping this method to work as users want instead of making a separate one, mainly for consistency and because many people already have the current "ping this" on their blogs/etc. (I also notice we need to add your custom defined groups to ping this)

Interesting thread. I have stayed out and just observed for the most part. The strangest thing is I received an e-mail saying ashponders posted:
"We received thousands upon thousands of requests for themes to be added back, and we have made them our priority for 2.2. By comparison we've received less than 200 requests for Ping.fm support."
The post with that comment has apparently been deleted.
I was amazed about the feedback about themes, so I decided to check out that thread to see how it went. it said "99 people like this idea ". http://getsatisfaction.com/atebits/to...
At the same time, "110 people like this idea" on this thread. Make of it what you will, but I think that statement speaks volumes on their position.

I just saw your other message saying pingplus isn't what you want either. not sure what you are looking for exactly. – Adam, on November 19, 2009 21:58

Someone took the time to create such a bookmarklet, it even gets selected text too which is pretty cool. see http://myopiclunacy.com/2009/11/18/pi...
(scroll down to where it says ping plus)
Adam replied on November 19, 2009 21:51 to the question "How do I connect Delicious to Ping.FM?" in Ping.fm:
Delicious started requiring new users to sign in through Yahoo instead of making their own username on delicious. At the time of the change, the API did not support Yahoo account users. They have since updated their API, but we have also been very busy and have not been able to update our end yet. It is definitely on the list of to-do's.

Adam replied on November 19, 2009 01:54 to the question "Setting Access Levels for Posts" in Ping.fm:
Sorry for the slow response. We don't have any plans right now to control that on our end. Many of the sites have that setting on their end. That makes more sense considering each one might have different incomparable privacy settings. Hopefully the ones that do not have it now will add it on their end soon.
Adam replied on November 17, 2009 04:30 to the idea "Would be nice to be able to add more than one Custom URL site." in Ping.fm:
I was referring to a custom url script you create on your own website. I am not aware of any mainstream websites that allow ping.fm custom url integration, but perhaps there are some. If you do have your own website with php/asp capability, you could also receive the messages there, then relay them to the other sites that you are referring to.
Adam replied on November 16, 2009 20:30 to the problem "remove said from facebook status updates!" in Ping.fm:
There is an option called "adjust grammar" that will make all the sites grammatically consistent (or as close as we can). You can disable it at http://ping.fm/settings/default/ and your messages will be posted exactly as you send them.
See a more detailed explanation here: https://pingfm.pbworks.com/Adjusting-...

Slowing your own posts down won't make a big difference. It is a general block on our servers due to the rate at which all users are posting. We have talked to Tumblr about the issue and are waiting to get this worked out. – Adam, on November 12, 2009 23:43
